By accessing or using the platform, you acknowledge and agree to the terms set out in this Disclaimer.
1. Platform
This platform operates solely as a facilitator. We enable the following features:
- Discovery of teachers based on location, availability, and credentials
- Scheduling and lesson coordination
- Payment processing
We do not provide any piano instruction and are not a contracting party to any agreement formed between Students and Teachers.
2. Independent Contractor Status
All Teachers listed on this platform are independent service providers and are not employees, agents, or representatives of the platform. While we may implement internal standards, onboarding checks, or ranking systems, we do not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of any teacher’s qualifications or experience. We also do not supervise, control, or direct how lessons are conducted. Any engagement is entered into at the sole discretion of the Student.
3. No Warranty on Services or Outcomes
To the fullest extent permitted under Singapore law, the platform makes no representations or warranties regarding:
- The quality, safety, or suitability of any lesson
- The qualifications or conduct of any Teacher
- Any specific learning outcomes or progress
All services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.
4. Scheduling and Cancellations
This platform provides scheduling tools for convenience only. Responsibility for attendance, punctuality, cancellations, and rescheduling rests entirely with the Student and Teacher. We are not liable for missed lessons, disputes over timing, or unmet expectations relating to scheduling.
5. Payments and Disputes
Payments made through this platform are processed via third-party payment providers. While we may offer dispute resolution support at our discretion, we are not responsible for the delivery, quality, or outcome of paid lessons. Refunds, if any, are subject to applicable platform policies and/or the Teacher’s stated terms.
6. User Conduct and Risk
Users interact with one another at their own risk. This platform shall not be responsible for:
- Any act, omission, or misconduct by users
- Any loss, damage, injury, or dispute arising from lessons or interactions
Users are expected to exercise reasonable judgment and take appropriate precautions, particularly for in-person lessons.
7. Location and Matching Accuracy
Features that recommend Teachers based on proximity rely on user-provided or system-generated location data. We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of such data. Users are responsible for verifying lesson arrangements and locations.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted under the laws of Singapore, the platform shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the total amount paid by the user through the platform in relation to the relevant service. Nothing in this disclaimer excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
9. Service Availability
We do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the platform. Services may be affected by maintenance, technical issues, or external factors beyond our control.
10. Amendments
We reserve the right to modify this disclaimer at any time. Updates will take effect upon publication. Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of any revised terms.
11. Governing Law
This disclaimer shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Singapore. Any disputes arising in connection with this disclaimer shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Singapore courts.
